New SIMS 2 TITANIC Sets!

It has been a year since I last updated this blog. How sad is that!? I've gotten away from simming. Obviously, I'm in college now and have been busy with school work and film work. Things are going very well!

I found some time to throw together some sets. Just yesterday, I finished the Grand Staircase set. The rest were completed a few months back. I hope you like them!

It's Legit!!!

That's right! The discovery of my Titanic videos is 100% legit! A close friend of mine contacted Maxoid Drea, and she delivered the following message!

"Hi,

Yeah, this is valid. Machinima.com won’t let us create accounts with .ea.com for some reason. This is our intern who is working on this showcase and was trying to send out new contact info since he won’t be here starting late next week.

I am soo excited!!!! I didn't want to get my hopes up, and then get them shot back down! But, now I can breath!!! It may not seem like a big deal, but if something comes out of it, I may be able to go visit the EA Headquarters in Redwood City, California, and that is a big deal to me! (Cali is my dream destination..) LOL! Hopefully I will hear more from Chris and/or Drea! He emailed me back after I questioned his credibility...... I feel like a jerk now, but I needed to make sure all of this was valid before I gave away personal information. Last night, my mom came into my room as I was reading the email, and she noticed that it was from TheSims. She was like, "Danny..... what is this.....", sounding like I was in trouble or something. "Nothing Ma!" I said back. "Danny.... it says.. Movie Making? What did you do..." "Nothing Ma.. it's stupid.. nothing" "Danny........ show me..." she asked. "Mom, don't worry about it!" "I want to see!!!!" "Okay, Okay, Okay! You can probably guess what it is!!" "Titanic.." "I was JOKING." So, I ended up showing her. She thought it was cool.... but she also said that I should have put a twist on it... for example; during the flying scene... make her fall off the ship or something. My mom doesn't get the whole, SIM, scene. LOL! I have talked many times to her about it. When my friend went to California for the SimsPlayedBy Campaign, I told her about it and I said that I had a chance too. So, now she is souped that I can possibly go to Cali........ with her LOL!

On a personal note, my grandparents just left Rhode Island today, and are heading back to Florida. I really had a great week with them. It was filled with laughter, and good times. Throughout the week, we played this Card game called "Phase 10". We had so much fun! It was a riot playing with them. They constantly yell at each other and call one another cheaters! LOL! I guess it's a sort of, you-had-to-be-there thing. It's just nice making new memories with them, and reflecting on the old ones. Who knows how much longer they will be around! I went over today, not only to say goodbye, but also because it was my Dad's Girlfriend's Son's birthday. We had some pizza, cake, and exercised by playing their Wii that they took over. (That was a LOT of fun!). All in all, it was a very enjoyable week, and I am going to miss my grandparents terribly. :(

That was really exciting to read! I hope it is a legit email. I responded to it already, and I am anxiously awaiting a reply. Hopefully something will come from this project! I am just really really down about this entire thing because the audio, the story idea, etc.. is not mine. Maybe I am just thinking it through too much. I just feel like I am stealing, even though I am doing something totally different. Anyways, I am happy I got this email. I thought about rejecting it due to what I said above, but I believe I have more to offer. Maybe I can even get a job at EA! LOL! How cool would that be!? :) I'll keep you posted! :)

Even though this whole project is just made with "TheSims2", and it's probably "dead end", reading stuff like this makes it all worth while. and reminds me why I am creating it; for you! The reviews I have received on YouTube and the messages you have left me (I try to read every single one of them) just brings a smile to my face. I never expected since the day I started this project how much it would take off. Granted, it's still not huge, but the success it currently has is more than I ever thought it would have. Thank you all, once again, for the support you have shown for me and this project. It means a lot to me. The author of this passage writes, and I quote...

"At first, I thought he got Cameron to do it. But then I realized it was a Sims 2 movie and I could not believe it!"

I have said this so many times in previous blogs. I really want to become a movie maker in real life. The people around me think it's a silly, unreachable dream. As you can see, I have updated the blog. I want to re-design it again (I am never happy with stuff I do lol). I have some downloads that I will begin to upload to this page. i am just getting organized now. I have TONS of wallpapers I made myself, so I can't wait to share them with you!! I will start working on getting some stuff up for your downloading pleasure, and don't forget to spread the word!

As for the Terms of Use on the stuff I will put here... I could care less what you do with it. if you use it, all I ask for is credit. A link back to this site or my youtube page would be awesome too. You may use whatever I upload in your lots, as long as your house is uploaded to a FREE site, and credit is given. That's all!

If you use my stuff in your movies, credit would be awesome, but not necessary, because I know it is hard to remember where you got all your stuff from.

I was just searching through people's blog-spots here because I was just curious to see what other pages looked like, and how people had set them up. I didn't see anything that really struck me, but I did read one story that I thought was rather refreshing to read. Considering I've been blogging about courtesy and respect previously, I think this story can fit in. I'm trying to find a link back to it, but I'm not sure what the page was called. I did comment, so if the author comments back I can trace the page.

The story was called "Paying it forward... At Starbucks". This woman apparently finds Starbucks Strawberry Frappuccino's to be a complete delicacy. I agree, they are delicious. The story says that she was waiting impatiently behind a red Toyota at the drive through for at least 10 minutes; She was on her way to see Indiana Jones. She was getting very aggravated with the car in front of her as she was in a rush. She just wanted her drink so she could leave. Finally, she said, the Toyota pulled away. When she was about to pay for her drink, the clerk said, "No Charge". Surprised by this, the woman asked why? The clerk said that the red Toyota paid for her drink; just something that they do every so often. The woman was dumbfounded and felt like a jerk for being impatient. Another day she went to Starbucks and ordered the same thing, and decided to pay it forward, and return the favor to the stranger behind her at the Drive Through. She said that it was a very good feeling.

I like stories like that. They show that there is still love in the world. "Paying it forward". I never actually understood what this meant until now, believe it or not. I couldn't get my mind wrapped around it. Anyways, this story is very inspiring, and it makes me want to do this the next time I go to Dunkin Donuts (We don't have starbucks), lol. I thank this person for sharing this, as I found it to be very refreshing. Why can't we all perform acts of random kindness?

Next time you see an opportunity to make someones life just that much better, take advantage of it, because like this woman said, it's a good feeling that lasts forever. Whether it's as small as holding the door open, or helping someone carry their groceries, donating money, or giving blood, these actions change the world in ways you can't even imagine. Doesn't this make you want to get up and do something? It's 2:18 in the morning, and I want to go do something!

Just remember; your acts of kindness will always be returned. Think about karma, too. :)
